Winton Valley SAY Coaches Agreement

A Winton Valley SAY Coach’s selection is conditional, and based on execution of the following responsibilities which may be renewed annually. All new coaches are typically required to attend a SAY-sanctioned Coaches Training session provided by the Area, or training provided through an affiliated SAY Area or District. 

In addition to the training class, each coach is being asked to sign the Winton Valley SAY Coaches Agreement that includes his/her commitment to pursue the following objectives.

As a Coach, I agree to the following adhere objectives:

• To promote the growth of recreational soccer in the Winton Valley Area of SAY Soccer through positive encouragement of players in a fun, supportive and competitive setting.
• To demonstrate patience, understanding and strong communications skills in their teaching / coaching techniques.
• To conduct myself in a manner to set a positive leadership example for parents and players.
• To support the Winton Valley SAY Game Conduct and Penalties and follow the rules as specified for processing of protests and the submission of reports regarding “red cards” received by myself, my players an/or my players’ parents.  I understand that this information may be posted on the Winton Valley SAY website.
• To attempt to resolve all concerns or problems within my team and to communicate any matters of concern to my SAY District Representative. 
• To show respect for and support all referees of the home and away districts in which games are played.

1.  I have reviewed and understand the Winton Valley Game Conduct and Penalties.

2.  If a complaint is made to the Winton Valley SAY Area Board of Directors regarding the conduct of myself as a coach, assistant coach, player, or spectator from which action could result, then I understand that I am entitled to a timely notice of a review, either by the Coach's home district board or the Winton Valley Area Board. I understand that if I am found to be in violation of the Winton Valley Game Conduct and Penalties, that Winton Valley SAY Disciplinary Board may take appropriate measures to prevent such reoccurrence including game suspension or dismissal from the league.
